the roof is on fire

A lot has happened. I'll go picture by picture.

Here we are setting the main beam for the floor. This was after the old addition was torn off. We dug out the basement too. Then on top of the old wall we poured a level base to set the floor on.
All of the addition floors were different heights. On this side the floor was 2 1/4" lower then the main house. so a 2X4 plus 3/4 ply got us back level with the original floor.

I took these tonight before I left. Hopefully it's under roof next week.

This weekend we put the left wall and windows up. This is the tallest part of the house and it was pretty difficult to top it out. Both Mom and Dad were there both days. thanks a lot!

UPDATE: the reason the windows are not centered is because there will be a chimney going up in the middle of them. It will look more normal when that is built.
