Basement clean out.

Well the snow has certainly slowed things down. That and school getting into full gear. Thursday I went out and started cleaning out the other side of the basement. Finally found the floor and all I can assume is that when they dug out the addition they threw the dirt in the old basement. It makes no sense. All I know is that I have to shovel all that dirt out with a five gallon bucket. No getting the bobcat down in this basement. The basement as a whole is much less scary now that I can see all the parts and walk around with ease. Next is the first floor which should be less trash but have a lot more demo work.

Day 3/ snOW!!

well friday night went out with my dad and pushed snow till 8 the next evening. Here is a video of me in the tractor at 4:30 in the morning.

Today I went back out to the house and made sure it didn't collapse under the weight of the snow. Luckily, it was still there. Just digging the trench to the house and dumpster was tiring enough. I didn't get as much as a wanted done but I did make a dent in the trash on the other side of the basement. Hopefully I'll have the bobcat back later in the week and things will progress faster. This snow is quite annoying.

Day 1

So the morning after I seemingly signed my life away, I'm out in the early morning with my dad unloading the bobcat onto the lot. You can hear the excitement in our voices as I begin to tackle the mountain of trash that has accumulated on the lot over the last 20 odd years.

I then decided to walk through the house with the camera and document the original condition of the interior of the house. WARNING: viewers required to have ability to see potential and look past the gang signs on the walls...I swear I'm not crazy...

I dug a big hole and started to move all the wooden trash into it. Then I lit it on fire. I also used a attachment for the bobcat to cut down all the overgrowth that had grown up and on the house. This is what it looked like at the end of the first day of work.
