Hardwood
Good evening! Sorry for the lack of updates. Between work and nights at the house I am really busy. Here's some photos.

Framing around the wood stove. When finished it will sit on slate . I burn that stove every night I'm up there and it does a great job heating the house!

I rented that yellow nail gun from home depot, sure glad I did as it made the job much easier.

A shot of the crown moulding in the Kitchen.

650 square feet of number 2 common 3" & 4" white oak.

Dad running the spray gun for the primer.

A shot of the base trim in the upstairs bedroom.

concrete

the concrete is coming THE CONCRETE IS COMING.
I figure I'll do a little blogging since that's what this is. Things at the house are progressing. The old saying things take twice as long and cost 4 times as much (or something like that) is very true. These pictures were taken tonight. (9-16-10) The concrete truck is coming this Saturday at 7:30am.We'll be pouring the front walk, porch and basement. I'll be raking the yard Saturday evening and Sunday morning if anyone wants a workout...

I put the rebar in the form for the walk and set it up using some bricks broken in half. This will prevent the walk from cracking when it freezes.

Two more loads of crushed stone in the driveway, this stone seems to pack really tight when driven on.

More rebar on the porch to tie the two halves together. Hopefully it won't split in the middle.

The man with the plan.
